Our Company specialises in the Design, Construction, Refurbishment & Maintenance of a variety of Wastewater Treatment Systems, carries out wide variety of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering works within several factory environments and is expanding into the Renewable Energy and Heat Recovery sectors. The business operates throughout the UK, therefore working away from home will be required on a contract specific bases / as and when necessary.

Reporting to the Site Manager / Foreman, you will be responsible for installation, maintenance & upgrade of a wide variety of mechanical equipment, including, but not limited:

  • Pumps
  • Mixers
  • Bearings & gearboxes
  • Aeration Systems
  • Stainless Steel, Ductile Iron and PVCu/ABS pipework
  • Chemical dosing lines
  • A wide variety of steel structures for the support of a range of plant & equipment

You will be required to:

  • Read and understand drawings and engineering part specifications
  • Work at heights and within confined spaces when required

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Relevant mechanical trade qualifications / experience
  • Current and valid CSCS Card preferable
  • Slinger / signaller qualifications preferable, but not essential
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working in mechanical engineering industrial environments (Water & Wastewater / Factory sectors preferable)
  • Good general knowledge of all mechanical equipment and installations
  • Ability to read and decipher schematic drawings, CAD drawings
  • High level of experience in Pipe Installations
  • Experience of rigging pipes for lifting purposes advantageous
  • Knowledge of construction site best practices and Health & Safety procedures
  • Ability to work as part of a team and to create effective working relationships
  • Good time management skills, with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks simultaneously
  • 40-45 hours a week (increasing when away from home or during site working periods)
  • Full UK driving licence essential
